ZZ Black Queen care
- Light: Low to medium indirect light. Skip direct sun entirely.
- Water: Only when the soil has dried completely, every few weeks.
- Soil: A well draining mix keeps its rhizomes happy.
- Pets: Best out of reach, it is toxic if chewed.
- Growth: Slow and architectural, to about three feet.
Why is my ZZ plant turning yellow?
Nine times out of ten it is too much water. The rhizome under the soil stores plenty, so when in doubt, wait another week. Yellowing from drought is rare and recovers fast after one drink.
