Philodendron 'Birkin' (Philodendron)
Pinstripes, grown fresh daily. Philodendron Birkin prints fine cream lines over deep green leaves, and every new leaf comes patterned a little differently than the one before.
It stays compact and upright, a self contained bit of polish for desks, consoles, and bright shelves.
Philodendron Birkin care
- Light: Bright indirect light sharpens the striping.
- Water: A measured drink after the topsoil dries to the touch.
- Humidity: Average rooms are fine, humid ones are better.
- Pets: Keep from chewing pets, toxic if ingested.
- Growth: Tidy and vertical, rarely past two feet.
Why is my Birkin losing its stripes?
Birkins are chimeric, so pattern strength follows light and luck. Dim spots produce greener leaves. Give it brighter indirect light and remove fully reverted leaves, and the pinstripes usually return on new growth.
