Alocasia 'Scalprum' (Alocasia scalprum)
A blade of a plant, forged small. Alocasia Scalprum keeps its narrow, scalpel shaped leaves thick and almost leathery, in a compact rosette that fits shelf life better than most of its dramatic family.
The surface carries a subtle sheen somewhere between green and gunmetal. Quietly rare, easily housed.
Alocasia Scalprum care
- Light: Bright shade to filtered window light.
- Water: Small regular drinks that keep the mix just shy of dry.
- Mix: Loose and airy, roots hate compaction.
- Pets: Keep away from pets, oxalates make it toxic.
- Growth: Compact clumps under eighteen inches.
How big does Alocasia Scalprum get?
It stays genuinely small, usually a tight clump within eighteen inches, which makes it one of the few Alocasias you can keep on a desk long term. The leaves thicken and darken with age rather than sprawling.
