Golden Pothos (Epipremnum aureum)
The first plant that makes you believe you can keep plants. Golden Pothos (Epipremnum aureum) trails gold marbled hearts from a pot that forgives missed waterings, dark corners, and busy weeks.
Grow it along a shelf, drape it over a doorway, or let it pour off the bookcase. It grows visibly, and watching something thrive because of you is the whole reason we do this.
Golden Pothos care
- Light: Anything from low light to bright indirect. Truly flexible.
- Water: When leaves lose a little gloss and the soil is dry an inch down.
- Spot: Bookshelves, kitchens, offices, bathrooms. It adapts.
- Pets: Toxic to cats and dogs if chewed, so give it height.
- Growth: Fast. Expect feet of vine in a single good season.
How fast does Golden Pothos grow?
In decent light, a healthy plant can add several feet of vine a year indoors. Trim the ends to keep it full, and root the cuttings in water to grow gifts for friends.
